Intersectionality. For a lot of people, it's a buzzword. For us, it's a way of life. The reality is, the media industry has a long way to go before it can truly call itself diverse - even now, in 2020, people are shut out from the profession on the basis of their gender, sexuality, race and disability.

 

 With countless groups within our richly diverse society being denied a voice, Free Reign works to give these groups their voice back.

 

In short, we at Free Reign strive to provide a platform for journalists and creatives who aren't necessarily represented in mainstream media. We also want to be a place for up-and-coming journalists from these groups to gain experience, learn new skills and hone their passions.
