Launch of World’s First Diverse Greeting Card Marketplace

Kutenda is a new international greeting cards and gifts marketplace that focuses on diversity and inclusion. It launches on 5th September and is run by founder, Avila Diana Chidume from Southampton, UK.

It is set up to platform the talents of up-and-coming card entrepreneurs from a variety of diverse backgrounds, in turn, boosting their business development. The launch coincides with Black Pound Day, a solution-based approach to support and invest in the UK’s black economy. Kutenda will work to bring representative greeting cards and gifts for marginalised groups, such as the LGBTQ+ community, the black community and for those who identify as disabled.

Avila, the founder of Kutenda said: “Kutenda translates to ‘thankful’ in Shona, which is a popular language spoken in my home country, Zimbabwe. For me, Kutenda is the perfect name for this platform because it encapsulates the difference, I want to make with Kutenda: putting the personal and meaningful elements back into greeting cards.”

As a new business of its kind, Kutenda needs some support and has set up a crowdfunder to continually develop the website and provide more opportunities and resources for independent businesses.

They are also offering an exclusive partnership programme, which will give business owners further perks to support the growing of their business and advice from industry experts.

To find out more about Kutenda, you can visit their website or follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram under the handle @kutendaoffical.

Avila can also be contacted via the email: info@kutenda.co.uk
